Introduction
I am committed to ensuring that my website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. I actively care about providing an inclusive, usable, and respectful experience for every visitor. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and I continuously work to improve the usability and accessibility of my website. This website is managed in accordance with recognized accessibility standards and best practices.
What Accessibility Is
An accessible website allows visitors with disabilites to browse and interact with the site with the same, or a similar, level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This is achieved through proper site structure, accessible content, and compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers. keyboard navigation, and other accessibility tools.
Accessibility Adjustments Made On This Site
This website is being adapted in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, and I am to meet Level AA Compliance, in line with European Accessibility Standards. As part of my accessibility efforts, these are the measures that I am currently working on improving.
I am using the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential accessibility issues.
I am checking color contrast and other issues using https://webaim.org/
I am defining and setting the site language.
I am structuring page content in a logical order for screen readers, so people with disabilities can read the content on my website in a logical order.
I am applying clear and consistent heading structures across all pages.
I am adding alternative (alt) text to images where applicable.
I am ensuring there is sufficient color contrast between text and background.
I am reducing the use of motion and animations that may cause discomfort.
I have made reasonable efforts to ensure that videos, audio, and downloadable files are accessible.
I am ensuring compatibility with keyboard navigation and assistive technologies.
Accessibility is reviewed on an ongoing basis as content and features are updated.
Partial Compliance due to Third-Party Content
Some of the areas of the website may include third-party content or applications that are not fully under my control. While I make every reasonable effort to ensure accessibility, I cannot guarantee full compliance for content provided by external platforms or services. These instances are considered partially compliant with the accessibility standard.
